The Gediminids were a dynasty of monarchs in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania that reigned from the 14th to the 16th century. According to history King Gediminas had 7 (8?) sons and 4 daughtersManvydasNarimantasAlgirdas, Vytautas (?), KęstutisKarijotas, Liubartas, Jaunutis, Aldona, Elžbieta, Eufemija, Aigusta. It is possible that Gediminas had two more daughters. The chronicle of John of Winterthur contains a reference to Gediminas' eight sons. The names of seven sons can be found in various written sources, while the identity of the eighth remains disputed. It is uncertain how many wives Gediminas had. The Bychowiec Chronicle mentions three wives of Gediminas: Vida from Courland; Olga from Smolensk; and Jewna from Polotsk
